Finding Emotional Equilibrium
Finding your emotional equilibrium can sometimes feel harder than you think it should.
Whether it’s our own personality or emotional challenges, circumstances beyond our control, or simply a recognition that we are not satisfied with or uncomfortable with our current circumstances, disequilibrium can rob us of the peace we desire.
Let’s work together to help you find better balance in your life and room to create, embrace, reflect on and enjoy the positive moments without hesitation.
Hi, I’m Dr. Alaina Johnson – I’m a clinical psychologist, a mom of three, consultant and an author. I provide traditional psychotherapy services focused on stress, anxiety, managing and adjustment to stress inducing changes in life for clients in the state of Illinois.
Areas of particular interest for me include parenting, infertility and perinatal challenges, career challenges, and individual therapy for women questioning the viability of their marriage or partnerships.
I love collaborating with my clients as we identify and work through specific challenges or trauma as well as everyday emotional hiccups that interfere with feeling our best.
The current state of affairs has led many of us to feel a little lost, overwhelmed, frustrated, or just a general sense of worry as we navigate day to day life.
Many of my clients are managing high functioning anxiety, ADHD or describe themselves as recovering perfectionists who are navigating super busy lives while trying to fit all of the pieces together.
My style is very personalized – together, we identify challenges and work to understand and put techniques and systems into place to empower and support you and work towards meeting your goals. Working with integrity, flexibility and purpose to create a safe place to explore and develop your unique strengths and approach to getting things done.
With over 20 years experience working as a therapist, coach, consultant and owner of a private practice. For both therapy and coaching, I utilize my experience to integrate empirically supported practice into the work I do as a coach. I find it rewarding to integrate and draw inspiration from multiple sources to create an individualized approach.
